Troop 100/6100 attend summer camp at Camp Owasippe! Owasippe is separated into several different camp locations. Troop 100 will be staying at Camp Blackhawk. The best camp ever!! Blackhawk is situated on the shore Big Blue Lake, offering lake front swimming and a dining hall. Camp Blackhawk information may be found at http://www.pathwaytoadventure.org/camping/blackhawk/  More information is provided when you click on Resources

First Year Scouts will work on their Tenderfoot – 1st Class requirements through the Pathfinder program. Older scouts will have the opportunity to earn several merit badges. There are extra adventures that Scouts can attend, too!

Scouts are provided a cot and tent. A supply list will be provided to scouts who register.

This year is also the one night sleepover at the USS Silversides. The Scouts and Adults will check out the museum after hours and spend the night aboard one of the submarines! The cost is $45 (approx) per person.

Payment: Checks may be made to Troop 100. Payment is due April 15th for best chance at merit badge selection. Merit Badge selections should be submitted before April 15th- you may submit them as soon as you have paid for camp.  Please realize the later you wait to submit your selections, the more likely it is you may not get your desired Merit Badge Schedule.  I will complete Merit Badge registration for scouts as soon as I receive their camp payment.  There will be no registration without payment.

Chaperones: Adult chaperones that have completed the necessary forms (BSA application, IL Background Check, MI paperwork) and online training (YPT) may attend camp and are encouraged to participate if possible.  We need adult volunteers- at least 4 with a minimum of 2 female leaders.

Transportation: We carpool up to Summer Camp, just like our monthly campouts. Transportation fees may be additional depending on the amount of scouts we have participating for camp.  July 10, departure date, leaders, drivers and chaperones leave around 6:30 a.m.
